10 Best Willamette Valley Wineries to Visit

in Guides

Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a dream destination for wine lovers. Known for its world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wine, the Willamette Valley is one of the wine destinations in the U.S.

Whether you’re looking for a stunning vineyard view, a deep dive into biodynamic winemaking or an exclusive food and wine pairing experience, the Willamette Valley has something for everyone.

From boutique family-run estates to innovative winemaking collectives, this guide highlights 10 must-visit wineries that capture the essence of the valley.

Furioso Vineyards

With views of the Dundee Hills Vineyard, Furioso has one of the valley’s most stunning tasting rooms. It’s sleek and modern, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that enable unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.

Furioso’s owner is Italian, and the winemaker is French, so it should come as no surprise that their wines are old-world inspired. They’re lower in alcohol, have higher acidity, and show balance and restraint – perfect for enjoying with food.

And speaking of food, they serve wood-fired pizzas in the spring through fall and have snacks available daily.

Antica Terra tasting experiences are known to be some of the best in Willamette Valley. Tastings include not only Maggie’s wines but also tastes of wines that inspire her – ranging from grower Champagne to Grand Cru Burgundy to interesting wines made using innovative practices. Including these wines is not only an opportunity to taste incredible wines of the world, but they also provide context to the wines she makes.

Bites from James Beard-nominated chef Timothy Wastell accompany all tastings. They also offer A Very Nice Lunch where guests enjoy a multi-course lunch with six different wines. If you can snag a reservation, it’s an experience not to miss in Willamette Valley.
